Savannakhet, March 21, 2025 - Lane Xang Minerals Limited Company (LXML) proudly contributed 50 million LAK to the Savannakhet Provincial Public Security to commemorate the 64^th anniversary of the Lao Public Security Forces, established on April 5, 1961. The donation was graciously received by Brigadier General Sommay Phommachan, Head of Savannakhet Provincial Public Security, accompanied by committee members. Representing Lane Xang Minerals Limited Company was Mrs. Latsany Sisane, Superintendent of the LXML Savannakhet Office, along with her team.

As part of the anniversary celebrations, the Savannakhet Provincial Public Security hosted a series of activities aimed at raising funds to acquire essential medical equipment for the 6^th of June Hospital. This equipment is vital for the treatment of economically disadvantaged patients, suspects, prisoners, reformees, and individuals undergoing drug therapy. Additionally, it will aid in addressing the needs of homeless individuals and those suffering from mental illness who lack family support. This initiative is a significant aspect of social assistance and remains a priority in the ongoing efforts to enhance community welfare.

On March 10, 2025, Lane Xang Minerals Limited Company (LXML) commemorated the 115^th anniversary of International Women’s Day (March 8, 2025), with a special ceremony at the Sepon Mine site. On March 10, 2025, LXML’s parent company, Chifeng Jilong Gold Mining Co., Ltd. (H-share code: 6693; A-share code: 600988), successfully listed on the main board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. This H-share issuance, following the A-share listing, marks another significant breakthrough for the group, signifying a robust step forward in its internationalization strategy and underscoring its unwavering commitment to deepening its presence in the global mining sector.

As the most influential overseas subsidiary within the group, LXML was honored to send distinguished employee representatives to the celebration. During the pivotal gong-ringing ceremony marking the market’s opening, Mr. Phonesavanh Khamvongsa, the mining manager of LXML, served as the sole employee representative of the group, together with Ms. Lydia, Executive Director and CEO of Chifeng Gold, rang the opening bell to commemorate this historic moment. Vientiane Capital, Laos, at Laotel Hotel on 27 February 2025, Lane Xang Minerals Limited Company (LXML) has further extended a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Lao National Defence for the next two years on corporate partnership dedicated toward effective detection and clearance of the Unexploded Ordnance (UXO) around the Sepon mining operation area. This collaborative effort aims to ensure the safety of Company’s employees, contractors, and the local host communities and enhance technical capabilities, ultimately benefiting future generations in Laos. The MOU was signed by Colonel Bounsoth Insina, Deputy Director General of the Engineering Department, alongside Mr. Bill Sui, LXML Manager – Supply and Contract. UXO clearance is critical to the operational integrity of Sepon mine, located in one of the most heavily bombarded regions of Laos, The UXO remained from the Indochina war which continues to pose significant risks to the lives of local residences. Since beginning operations, LXML has collaborated closely with the Lao Ministry of Defence, the National Regulatory Authority (NRA), and the Lao National Unexploded Ordnance Programme (UXO Lao) to enhance safety standards by applying much dedicated UXO clearance methodologies over the past two decades.

Sepon mine is situated in a remote area facing unique challenges because of its location in one of the most bombed districts of Laos. With an estimated 260 million bombs dropped on the country between 1964 to 1973, approximately 80 million of these munitions failed to detonate, leaving a grim legacy of UXO that continues to threaten lives and hinder development.

Up to date, since the Sepon Mining Operations commenced, LXML has invested over US$ 56 million in UXO clearance, successfully clearing over 6,400 hectares of land and destroying over 60,000 UXO items within and around the Sepon mine.
