Lane Xang Minerals Limited (LXML Sepon) donated US$100,000 to the Prime Minister of the Lao PDR, Dr Phankham Viphavanh, to support the Lao Government’s response to the latest outbreak of COVID-19.

“I am proud to confirm our donation to purchase vaccines to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in Lao PDR,” said Paul Harris, General Manager, LXML Sepon. “LXML stands strongly committed to the Lao Government’s COVID-19 restrictions and lockdown procedures to ensure the safety of employees and communities.”

LXML employs approximately 2,000 employees and 1,700 contract partners, 95 per cent of which are Lao nationals from Vilabouly District and Savannakhet Province.

LXML Sepon has introduced strict controls, including quarantine and testing, before employees are able to access Sepon mine.

LXML is encouraging all employees and their families to be vaccinated against COVID-19.
