Chifeng Jilong Gold Chairman Mr Wang Jianhua visited Sepon mine to witness the commissioning phase of Lane Xang Minerals Limited’s (LXML) new oxygen plant, and to celebrate this significant event with the LXML team.

The new oxygen plant is a component of LXML’s ‘Sepon 2.5 Project’ designed to increase capacity of Sepon’s primary ore processing circuit from the current 1.5Mtpa to more than 2.5Mtpa. Chifeng has invested hundreds of millions to secure LXML Sepon’s future. These investments will support increased gold production and extend Sepon’s mine life beyond ten years.

“I am honoured to witness the progress of the Sepon operation.  Sepon has grown in leaps and bounds over the last two years,” said Mr Wang Jianhua, Chifeng Jilong Gold Chairman. ”I am thankful to all our employees and contractors, and for the strong partnership we have with the Government and community. During his visit Mr Wang met with Sepon employees and key stakeholders from the Ministry of Energy and Mines.

In 2021, LXML’s anticipated gold production guidance is 7.6 tonnes. New plant and equipment will come online in the next 18 to 24 months to assist the company in safely achieving production targets.
