Technical Advisor - Processing

Chifeng Gold’s Lane Xang Minerals Limited Company (LXML) operates the Sepon Gold and Copper Operation, located in Vilabouly District, Savannakhet Province, Lao PDR. Reporting to the Superintendent - Gold, the Technical Advisor – Processing provides technical leadership and hands-on operational support to the Front-End Processing Circuit, including Crushing, Grinding, Flotation, StackCell, Regrind Mill, and Column Cell operations. The role is responsible for optimizing plant performance, maximizing throughput and metallurgical recovery, developing local operational capability, and ensuring the processing circuit operates safely, efficiently, and in accordance with design specifications and operational standards. The Technical Advisor also supports continuous improvement initiatives, operational excellence, and the sustainable development of the processing workforce.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Optimize comminution and flotation circuits to maximize throughput, recovery, and grade.
• Track front-end targets, resolve bottlenecks, and manage key variables (P80, reagent dosage, slurry density).
• Maintain up-to-date SOPs, manuals, and visual troubleshooting guides.
• Train and mentor operators and supervisors to boost shift competency.
• Partner with Maintenance, Metallurgy, and Production to execute outages and CI projects.
• Provide technical oversight during plant modifications and commissioning.
• Support metallurgical accounting and present technical performance reports.
• Enforce SSHE standards and site zero-harm initiatives.
• Others as assigned.

Experience, Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Metallurgical Engineering, Mineral Processing, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline (preferred).
• Minimum five (5) years' experience in mineral processing operations, especially with StackCell flotation, regrind milling, and column flotation technology.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, organizational and decision-making skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Lao and English.
• Hold a valid Class B driver’s license.
