Specialist - Cost Control

Chifeng Gold’s Lane Xang Minerals Limited Company (LXML) operates the Sepon Gold and Copper Operation, located in Vilabouly District, Savannakhet Province, Lao PDR. Reporting to the Superintendent - Planning, the Specialist – Cost Control is responsible for supporting effective planning, monitoring, analysis, and control of operating and capital expenditure within the Site Engineering & Planning department. The role assists the budget owners to develop budgets, forecasts, cost reports, and long-term maintenance plans while identifying opportunities to improve cost efficiency, financial performance, and asset reliability.

Key Responsibilities Include:
• Prepare and manage Operational Expenditure (OPEX) and Capital Expenditure (CAPEX) budgets, forecasts, and cost plans.
• Monitor costs and analyse budget variances.
• Prepare weekly and monthly cost reports for management.
• Track maintenance expenses and capital project spending.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and drive cost improvement initiatives.
• Support long-term maintenance planning and budgeting activities.
• Ensure accurate cost allocation and financial reporting.
• Maintain compliance with company policies and SHE requirements.

Experience, Skills and Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Engineering, Economics, or a related discipline.
• Minimum five (5) years of experience in cost control, budgeting, financial analysis, maintenance planning, or a related discipline.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Pronto systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good written and verbal English communication skills.
• Hold a valid Class B driver’s license.
