Senior Data Systems Administrator

Chifeng Gold’s Lane Xang Minerals Limited (LXML) operates the Sepon Gold and Copper Operation, located in Vilabouly District, Savannakhet Province, Lao PDR. Since operations commenced in 2003, LXML Sepon has produced over 2 million tonnes of copper cathode and over 65 tonnes of gold. In 2025, Sepon produced 7,000 tonnes of copper and 6.0 tonnes of gold. Planned production for 2026 is over 5.7 tonnes of gold and 11,400 tonnes of copper.

LXML is now positioning itself for future growth. With assets in both gold and copper with a number of feasibility studies, a ramp up in exploration activity is underway. The future for LXML and the Sepon operation is unlimited in potential and opportunity.

In support of this growth, we are looking for a Senior Data Systems Administrator to join our team to deliver on our growth plans, and be a part of this exciting future.

The Senior Data Systems Administrator reports to the Superintendent – Resource Geology. This role is critical to the leadership and oversight for database and reporting systems that support geological operations. This role is accountable for the performance, integrity, and continuous improvement of the geological database environment, ensuring the timely and accurate capture, validation, quality control, and assurance of geological data. You will also be required to lead and support a team of database personnel, providing direction, mentoring, and workload coordination to ensure effective delivery of database services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accountable for the performance, integrity, and availability of geological database and reporting systems supporting the Geology function
• Lead, develop, and manage database personnel to ensure effective delivery of data management and reporting services
• Establish and enforce data governance frameworks, including standards, procedures, and QA/QC processes
• Oversee the accuracy, validation, and timely integration of geological and laboratory data into the database
• Direct the design, maintenance, and continuous improvement of database structures, SQL processes, and reporting systems
• Collaborate with geology stakeholders to ensure data collection, verification, and reporting processes meet operational and strategic needs
• Monitor system performance and drive continuous improvement to enhance data quality, system reliability, and user effectiveness

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in computer science/Information technology or earth science
• Training in SQL, databases and reporting (e.g. Power BI)
• At least 8year of experience in the mining or exploration industry
• Working background in geology databases and data systems
• Experience working in a diverse team
• Light vehicle license essential
