Senior Advisor - Safety

Chifeng Gold’s Lane Xang Minerals Limited Company (LXML) operates the Sepon Gold and Copper Operation, located in Vilabouly District, Savannakhet Province, Lao PDR. Reporting to the Superintendent - Safety, the Senior Advisor - Safety delivers specialist safety and operational efficiency support to Mine Technical Services and Surface Mining teams. This role ensures statutory compliance, fosters a proactive safety culture across LXML, and leads a team of Safety Advisors. 

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Support routine safety activities across mining and technical areas on site.
• Coach LXML staff on safe behaviour and safe task practices.
• Provide visible field leadership in safe and efficient operations for LXML and contractors.
• Support the implementation of safety campaigns, training and behavioural programs.
• Identify the key risks on site and help apply the appropriate controls.
• Assist with field checks, safety observations, and job risk assessments.
• Monitor and support the implementation and close out of corrective actions.
• Support incident reporting, investigation activities and follow up actions.
• Maintain the safety procedures, documents and systems.
• Support the development and maintenance of LXML health and safety management systems.
• Work with contractors to ensure they meet LXML safety standards.

Experience, Skills and Qualifications:

• Relevant qualification or training in Safety/Risk Management.
• 5+ years of open-pit mining experience.
• Background in safety management systems and incident investigation.
• Supervisory or operational experience in open-pit mining (preferred).
• Ability to confidently engage with all levels of the workforce.
• Fluent in written and spoken Lao and English.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Valid Class B Lao driver’s license.
