Planner – Mobile Plant

Chifeng Gold’s Lane Xang Minerals Limited Company (LXML) operates the Sepon Gold and Copper Operation, located in Vilabouly District, Savannakhet Province, Lao PDR. Reporting to the Supervisor - Planning Mobile Maintenance, the Planner – Mobile Plant is responsible for preparing work scopes, work schedules on different timeframes and coordinate all maintenance activities. This will enable the maintenance excecution team to perform the job aligned with the work management processes contained within the maintenance management system. With the aim to enable the most effective and cost-efficient method for the maintenance execution teams to maintain the plant and equipment, thus minimizing down time and maximizing productivity.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
• Ensure adherence to the work management process and continually improve planning & scheduling processes.
• Liaise and coordinate with production teams, suppliers and contractors to support maintenance activities.
• Manage the planning and forecasting of Maintenance for the Pronto via the CMMS to ensure that all maintenance tasks are planned and completed in the allocated time.
• Create work orders from approved work requests and fully plan and scope work to have ready for scheduling.
• Create and develop a Gantt chart for work order in MS Project, which includes all operational activities for ramp down and ramp up, isolation and cleaning requirements.
• Manage all necessary records as required.
• Manage spare parts inventory and planning in alignment with company policies.
• Oversee electrical maintenance planning for mine infrastructure, ensuring compliance with safety, isolation, and statutory requirements.
• Monitor asset management KPIs and report to the asset management implementation supervisor.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

• A tertiary qualification in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or relevant field.
• A minimum of 3 years’ experience as a maintenance planner.
• Understanding of project reporting and project controls.
• Strong analytical, time management, planning and scheduling skills.
• High attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines consistently.
• Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Project, Pronto at intermediate level.
