Officer - Database

Chifeng Gold’s Lane Xang Minerals Limited Company (LXML) operates the Sepon Gold and Copper Operation, located in Vilabouly District, Savannakhet Province, Lao PDR. Reporting to the Senior Database Officer, the Officer - Database is responsible for supporting geological operations through accurate data capture, validation, quality control, and maintaining database integrity to ensure safe and efficient mining operations.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Perform data entry to support the geological database.
• Manage database submissions for geological samples for laboratory analysis.
• Import assay laboratory results, including QA/QC checks and validation.
• Conduct data validation and liaise with geology personnel to ensure accuracy.
• Maintain database structure and functionality, including basic SQL and reporting tools.
• Prepare regular reports on database activities.
• Support field activities as required.

Experience, Skills and Qualifications:

• High School Certificate; tertiary education is an advantage.
• Experience in data entry and computer use.
• Basic SQL knowledge (or willingness to develop).
• Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel); Power BI is an advantage.
• Good communication skills in Lao and English.
• Strong organisational and prioritisation skills.
• Basic understanding of geology, sampling, and QA/QC processes (or willingness to learn).
• Valid Class B driver’s license.
