Lawyer - Attorney

Chifeng Gold’s Lane Xang Minerals Limited Company (LXML) operates the Sepon Gold and Copper Operation, located in Vilabouly District, Savannakhet Province, Lao PDR. Reporting to the Manager - Human Resources & Site Services, the Lawyer - Attorney will be responsible for collecting and organizing evidence, preparing case files, coordinating with site security, and supporting communication with police, prosecutors, and courts. The position will help ensure that offenders involved in theft or other criminal activity are formally charged where appropriate and that cases are progressed through the legal process.

Key Responsibilities Include:
•Prepare and review criminal case files and other court documents.
•Support evidence collection, including statements, reports, photos, and seized materials.
•Coordinate with police, prosecutors, courts, and government authorities.
•Provide legal advice on criminal matters, misconduct, investigations, and disciplinary processes.
•Maintain case tracking, files, notes and prepare regular reports for management.
•Research legal concepts, case law, judicial opinions, statutes and regulations.
•Support legal proceedings and loss recovery where required.

Experience, Skills and Qualifications:
•Bachelor’s degree in law or related field.
•Knowledge of Lao criminal law and legal procedures.
•Experience in legal, law enforcement, court, prosecution, or investigation-related work.
•Strong legal documentation and report writing skills.
•High level of confidentiality, integrity, and professionalism.
•Good communication and coordination skills.
•Good English writing and speaking skills.
