Chifeng Gold’s Lane Xang Minerals Limited Company (LXML) operates the Sepon Gold and Copper Operation, located in Vilabouly District, Savannakhet Province, Lao PDR. We are committed to the development of Laos through our production of cooper and gold, whilst striving for business excellence throughout the business. In 2025, our planned production is 5,703 kg of Gold and 10,010 tonnes of copper.

We are looking for highly motivated individuals to join us during the growth phase of our business and champion diversity through all stages of our recruitment.

Reporting to the Superintendent – Exploration, the Geologist -Exploration will responsible for conducting various Au and Cu exploration work programs within Sepon tenement including detailed geologic mapping, soil sampling, drill core and chip logging/sampling. Supervisory work will be necessary to oversee various field drilling programs – to ensure compliance to all Company standards, procedures, and safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities Include: 

• Implement and ensure compliance with LXML policies and procedures.
• Leadership and supervision of all field-based copper-gold exploration activities.
• Provide accurate geological logs of RC and DD drilling, and detailed maps and sections of prospects
• Rigorous monitoring of Exploration field procedures and protocols to ensure safe, efficient, and effective program implementation.
• Assist superintendent/senior geologist manage and oversee contractors and their work.
• Training, development, and mentoring of junior geologists and field assistants.

Experience, Skills and Qualifications: 

• Bachelor degree of Science (Geology).
• Excellent field mapping, logging and section interpretation skills.
• Demonstrate effective performance in achieving agreed SSHE goals that support the department site and company standards.
• Good computer skills; proficient with QGIS or MapInfo-Discover/ArcGIS and 3D modelling software Leapfrog or Micromine.
• Good organizational, field planning, and time management skills.
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
• 3-5 years’ experience gold and copper exploration preferred.
