Advisor - Safety

Chifeng Gold’s Lane Xang Minerals Limited Company (LXML) operates the Sepon Gold and Copper Operation, located in Vilabouly District, Savannakhet Province, Lao PDR. Reporting to the Superintendent - Safety, the Advisor - Safety is responsible for providing daily safety support across the Sepon site and helping teams maintain safe work practices to align with LXML’s safety standards.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Deliver safety activities across operational areas on site.
• Assist with incident reports, basic investigations and action follow up.
• Participate in risk assessments and safety observations.
• Conduct safety training and awareness sessions.
• Conduct workplace checks and support compliance with site safety procedures.
• Provide general safety advice to teams to help prevent incidents.
• Participate in safety meetings and contribute to site safety planning.
• Monitor corrective actions and support their effective completion.
• Assist departments with the field task observation process.
• Support LXML safety systems, procedures and safety document control as required.
• Assist with safety reporting and other safety-related tasks as required.
• Support the implementation of LXML’s safety initiatives.

Experience, Skills and Qualifications:

• Certificate IV or a related field qualification.
• Minimum 1-3 years of safety experience.
• Knowledge in the field of risk assessment and management.
• Knowledge of incident investigation practices to identify causes and remedial actions.
• Ability to confidently engage with all levels of the workforce.
• Fluent in written and spoken Lao and English.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Valid Class B Lao driver’s license.
