Chifeng Gold’s Lane Xang Minerals Limited Company (LXML) operates the Sepon Gold and Copper Operation, located in Vilabouly District, Savannakhet Province, Lao PDR. We are committed to the development of Laos through our production of cooper and gold, whilst striving for business excellence throughout the business. In 2025, our planned production is 5,703 kg of Gold and 10,010 tonnes of copper.

Reporting to Underground Geologist, the Underground Geology Technician is responsible for supporting geological operations both underground and in the core yard. The technician is responsible for mapping and ensuring accurate geological data collection to guide mining activities. In the core yard, the technician will assist with core processing, logging support, sample preparation, and data management to maintain high-quality geological records. Whilst working closely with geologists, engineers, and mining personnel, this role ensures the integrity of geological information, contributing to effective mine planning, resource evaluation, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Prepare diamond core and RC chips for logging (meter marking, cleaning, RQD logging) and core processing (RQD, Q' logging, cutting, sampling, and dispatch to the laboratory).
• Collect and process samples from drill sites and stockpiles, ensuring timely paperwork and lab deliveries, while assisting with QAQC tracking and lab audits.
• Assist geologists with logging, field duties, data collection, collation, and improvement of grade control processes.
• Perform face, backs, and walls mapping, and other geology-related tasks underground as required.
• Data entry tasks as required.
• Support field and underground activities as directed by the Underground Geologist.

 Experience, Skills and Qualifications:

• High School certificate.
• Experience in mining environments preferred & core shed work highly favourable.
• Basic understanding of sampling technique and QAQC procedures, basic of geological core processing activities, and mining production processes.
• Light Vehicle Licence (Class B).
• Basic understanding Microsoft Office (word, excel).
