Chifeng Gold’s Lane Xang Minerals Limited (LXML) operates the Sepon Gold and Copper Operation, located in Vilabouly District, Savannakhet Province, Lao PDR. Since operations commenced in 2003, LXML Sepon has produced over 1.1 million tonnes of copper cathode and over 1.5 million ounces of gold doré.

In support of the growth at Sepon Gold and Copper Operation, we are looking for Technician – Underground High Voltage to join our team to deliver on our growth plans, and be a part of this exciting future. Reporting to Coordinator – Underground High Voltage Electrician this role will provide installation, service, inspection and maintenance related to all high voltage equipment and apparatus associated with underground development and production at Sepon underground operations.

Key responsibilities include:

• Maintain and repair installations to original equipment manufacturer (OEM) specifications
• Identify and report faults on equipments as they are identified
• Work to OEM standard repair timeframes
• Use the Pronto ERP system to manage required parts from warehouse stock Use the Pronto ERP system to manage required parts from warehouse stock
• Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives for improving safety, production and cost performance in the underground high voltage department
• Provide coaching to National employees through knowledge sharing

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

• Electrical high voltage trade or engineering qualifications
• Must have prior experience working in an underground mining environment – internationally
• At least 5 years of experience working in an underground mining environment
• Participate in safety and toolbox meetings
• Provide coaching and mentorship
• Ability to work with a group or individually within company procedures and policies
• Drivers License – light vehicle and heavy truck preferred
• Has proficiency in the use of CMMS Systems (e.g. Pronto), MS Office products
