Chifeng Gold’s Lane Xang Minerals Limited Company (LXML) operates the Sepon Gold and Copper Operation, located in Vilabouly District, Savannakhet Province, Lao PDR. Reporting to the Manager – Supply & Contract, the Supervisor - Scrap Sales will be responsible for overseeing the management and sales of the company’s scrap materials. This position involves driving the sales process from planning to execution, ensuring smooth operations, and maintaining strong customer relationships, all in accordance with the company’s policies, procedures, and standards.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Collaborate with the production department to prepare and communicate monthly scrap sales plans to customers in a timely manner.
  • Manage and deliver scrap materials to the logistics company’s warehouse and maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Organize and coordinate shipments to customers, ensuring effective communication with all relevant parties.
  • Verify the completeness and accuracy of inland transport, export, and shipment documents.
  • Work with the commercial department to seek pricing guidance and place sales orders with customers.
  • Follow up with customers to ensure payments are made on schedule.
  • Address and resolve any sales issues, including quantity and quality variances, by coordinating with customers and internal production teams.
  • Maintain organized records of all sales-related documents.
  • Prepare monthly reports on scrap management, sales, and inventory for management and accounting.
  • Develop and nurture long-lasting customer relationships by understanding and meeting their needs.
  • Build strong working relationships with site personnel, contractors, and government representatives involved in the sales process.
  • Negotiate new sales contracts with both existing and potential customers.
  • Ensure business requirements are fulfilled, and that value is maximized.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

  • Proven experience in sales and scrap management or a related field.
  • Ability to drive the sales process from plan to close, with a strong understanding of the industry.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of influencing all levels of the organization.
  • Strong business acumen, attention to detail, and conflict management skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Fluent in English and Lao; proficiency in Chinese is a plus.
  • Exceptional planning and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
