Chifeng Gold’s Lane Xang Minerals Limited Company (LXML) operates the Sepon Gold and Copper Operation, located in Vilabouly District, Savannakhet Province, Lao PDR. We are committed to the development of Laos through our production of cooper and gold, whilst striving for business excellence throughout the business. In 2025, our planned production is 5,703 kg of Gold and 10,010 tonnes of copper.

To support our operation, we are seeking a qualified candidate in the position of Superintendent – Projects.

Reporting directly to the Manager - Projects, is to assist with the management of a portfolio of capital projects from design, procurement, construction, commission and handover phase. It is imperative that delivery of projects are to schedule and that collaboration with all key stakeholders are at the forefront of acitivities. Furthermore you will be required to provide regular project reports to key senior leadership.

Key responsibilities include:

• Create detailed project design proposals, outlining technical specifications, scope, and feasibility assessments to align with strategic objectives.
• Prepare comprehensive capital expenditure justifications, including ROI analysis, risk evaluation, and alignment with financial and operational goals.
• Identify, evaluate, and procure necessary materials and skilled labor, ensuring cost-effectiveness, availability, and alignment with project timelines.
• Collaborate with planning teams to establish detailed project execution schedules, ensuring realistic timelines, resource allocation, and critical path management.
• Assess, monitor, and manage health, safety, environmental (HSE), and scheduling risks, implementing mitigation strategies throughout the project lifecycle.
• Oversee the execution of work programs, ensuring delivery on time and within budget through effective coordination with specialist contractors and technical teams.
• Develop and implement quality assurance plans and structured handover procedures, ensuring compliance with project specifications and stakeholder requirements.
• Design and enforce contractor management plans focused on minimizing risks related to HSE compliance, quality control, and cost containment.
• Produce regular project reports and conduct stakeholder briefings, providing clear, actionable updates on progress, risks, and key milestones.

Qualifications, skills and experience:

• Tertiary qualifications in Mechanical / Electrical engineering or Trade qualifications
• 10 years in fixed plant maintenance or project execution roles
• Demonstrated experience in leading large multi disciplined teams and managing shutdowns / projects to schedule, quality and cost
• Strong project management skills
• Has proficiency in the use of CMMS Systems (e.g. Pronto)
• Previous experience working across different cultures
