Chifeng Gold’s Lane Xang Minerals Limited Company (LXML) operates the Sepon Gold and Copper Operation, located in Vilabouly District, Savannakhet Province, Lao PDR. We are committed to the development of Laos through our production of cooper and gold, whilst striving for business excellence throughout the business. In 2024, our planned production is 6,200 kg of Gold and 5,305 tonnes of Copper.

In support of this growth, we are looking for Superintendent – GIS-Database & Service Delivery to join our team to deliver on our growth plans, and be a part of this exciting future.

Reporting to the Manager – Exploration, this role will be responsible for the coordination of all activities of the GIS team by leading the technical team and deliver the GIS and database requirements of the exploration team. Additionally, coaching and mentoring national staff will be essential to the development of the team.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Prepare GIS analysis, reports and queries to support exploration projects.
• Maintain database integrity ensuring geological data are captured and correctly entered in the database platform.
• Review and improve the QAQC protocols for various exploration sampling programs.
• Prepare 3D geological models of exploration advanced prospects.
• Prepare high quality maps and sections, summary reports, monthly and other exploration reports and presentations as needed.
• Train exploration geologists to upgrade utilization of geological softwares.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

• A degree in geology or other relevant fields.
• Over 15 years’ experience working in the exploration field.
• Previous superintendent experience is essential.
• Robust understanding of Skarn, Porphyry, Carlin and Orogenic systems.
• High level skills with SQL server and process, and database platforms preferably Geobank.
• Proficient with 3D modelling software preferably Leapfrog and Micromine, and other geological software QGIS, MapInfo-Discover, ArcGIS, and ioGAS.
• Previous experience working as an expatriate with cultural diverse team.
