Superintendent – Drill

Chifeng Gold’s Lane Xang Minerals Limited (LXML) operates the Sepon Gold and Copper Operation, located in
Vilabouly District, Savannakhet Province, Lao PDR. We are committed to the development of Laos through our

Reporting to the Senior Superintendent - MP Drilling, the Superintendent – Drill is responsible for all the
safe, productive and cost effective drilling operation. The incumbent will be required to liase with both the
technical and field teams to ensure all drilling targets are met and data is provided to the key stakeholders. In
addition, mentoring and coaching are key to ensuring the workforce is continually developing and working at
the highest safety standard.

Key Responsibilities Include:
• Be the key communication link between the day-to-day operations to ensure drilling targets are met
whilst maintaining all safety standards.
• Ensure minimum downtime for rig moves and coordinate with other operational departments for
drilling work.
• Monitor day-to-day drill management activities.
• Make sure all LXML drilling procedures are followed and ensure that down hole surveys are accurate
and collected on timely basis.
• Oversee all drill consumables and stock control by managing drill consumable stocks, controlling drill
mud/fluid usage and tracking cost of drill consumable materials.
• Provide daily, weekly and monthly reports to key stakeholders in the department.
• Continually drive safety initiatives to ensure that it is at the forefront of all drilling activities.
• Provide technical expertise to team members.

Experience, Skills and Qualifications:
• 10-20 years’ experience of Drilling.
• Mining industry experience and skills in operating drill rig are preferred.
• Good English communication skills, both written and oral.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
• Proficient in technical reporting, problem-solving, and safety investigations.
• Be a proactive and encouraging leader.
