Reporting to the Manager of Technical Services & Projects, the Senior Process Engineer is responsible for developing and implementing innovative technical solutions to enhance the performance of Sepon Carlin-type gold treatment. This includes generating technical concepts, designing test work to validate these concepts, and conducting preliminary assessments of innovative solutions with a focus on both financial feasibility and technological maturity. Additionally, the Senior Process Engineer may support plant production by providing troubleshooting expertise and contributing to medium- to long-term metallurgical improvement initiatives as needed.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Leading and executing medium to small-scale projects aimed at improving metallurgical performance.
• Developing Process Design Criteria (PDC), Process Flow Diagrams (PFD), and Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID) for metallurgical improvement projects, along with conducting preliminary financial assessments.
• Reviewing the process design of major projects to ensure alignment with best practices and efficiency goals.
• Performing tests to evaluate consumables (e.g., steel balls and flotation chemicals) to identify opportunities for improved cost-effectiveness.
• Contributing to the development of strategic recommendations and continuous process improvement initiatives.
• Mentoring, coaching, and providing training to metallurgists, graduate metallurgists, and metallurgical technicians to enhance their technical expertise.
• Ensuring timely and accurate completion of all departmental reporting requirements.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

• Bachelor degree or higher diploma in Mineral Processing, Metallurgical, or Chemical engineering.
• Over 5-year milling/flotation plant experience or metallurgical technical background are essential.
• Strong background of technological innovation research/study, particularly in metallurgy.
• Problem solving ability with proven success: experience with root-cause analysis methods is preferred.
• Project and time management skills; speed in execution is highly valued.
• Good communication in English is essential along with business writing acumen
