Chifeng Gold’s Lane Xang Minerals Limited Company (LXML) operates the Sepon Gold and Copper Operation, located in Vilabouly District, Savannakhet Province, Lao PDR. We are committed to the development of Laos through our production of cooper and gold, whilst striving for business excellence throughout the business. In 2024, our planned production is 6,200 kg of Gold and 5,305 tonnes of Copper.

In support of this growth, we are looking for Senior Exploration Geologist to join our team to deliver on our growth plans, and be a part of this exciting future.

Reporting to the Superintendent – Regional Exploration this role will be responsible for the supervision and technical excellence of the regional exploration team. You will be required to lead and focus on regional exploration block area and prepare detailed exploration plans to help achieving new exploration discoveries. To facilitate and provide training and guidance to geologists and junior geologists relevant to the Sepon regional exploration.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Preparation of exploration activity plans and budget.
• Analyse and interpret geological, geochemical and geophysical data.
• Plan and conduct geological, geochemical, geophysical, field surveys, and drilling plans.
• Prepare geological maps, cross-section, charts, reports and presentation.
• Prepare monthly and other exploration report.
• Education of junior staffs.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

• A degree in geology or other relevant fields.
• Over 10 years’ experience working in the exploration field.
• High level of geological skills and significant Au and Cu exploration experience.
• Strong understanding of Orogenic, Skarn, Porphyry and Carlin systems.
• Demonstrated capability of high quality geological mapping with emphasis/focus on geochemistry and/or structural geology skill sets.
• High level skills with geological software preferably QGIS, MapInfo, ArcGIS. ioGAS, and Leapfrog.
• Ability to integrate mapping, geochemical, and geophysical datasets.
• Previous experience working as an expatriate with cultural diverse team.
