Chifeng Gold’s Lane Xang Minerals Limited Company (LXML) operates the Sepon Gold and Copper Operation, located in Vilabouly District, Savannakhet Province, Lao PDR. In support of this growth, we are looking for Resource Geologist to join our team to deliver on our growth plans, and be a part of this exciting future.

Reporting directly to the Superintendent - Resource Geologist, the successful candidate will be responsible for the design, schedule, execution and supervision of resource drilling activities. Ensuring safety and efficiency to support resource definition and discovery, collection and analysis of geological data in a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Coordinate and undertake drill design, scheduling and implementing of drilling programs in a safe and cost-effective manner.
• Ensure core logging, sampling and data collection is completed on time and to a high-quality standard.
• Interpret geological and mineralisation domains to be applied in resource modelling
• Assist in the construction of resource block models and grade estimation.
• Assist with financial tracking for department activities and projects including invoicing and preparation of Application for Expenditure (AFEs).
• Generate relevant reports and documents on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.
• Review laboratories and QA/QC performance to ensure industry best practice.
• Implementation and maintenance of safe operating procedures.

 Experience, Skills and Qualifications:

• At least a Diploma in Geology or related field.
• At least 5 years’ experience in a resource definition or mining environment preferably in gold or base metals.
• High level of geological skills and knowledge related to mining and resource development.
• Strong understanding of drillhole design and application of various drill types.
• Resource and/or grade control modelling experience.
• An understanding of mining production processes.
• Valid Lao driving license (BC) is preferred.
