Chifeng Gold’s Lane Xang Minerals Limited Company (LXML) operates the Sepon Gold and Copper Operation, located in Vilabouly District, Savannakhet Province, Lao PDR. We are committed to the development of Laos through our production of cooper and gold, whilst striving for business excellence throughout the business. It is an exciting time at LXML in 2025 with mining and exploration ramping up and a new circuit in development to boost the copper production capabilities in coming years.

We are looking for highly motivated individuals to join us during the growth phase of our business as we embark on designing, constructing and commissioning a new primary copper circuit at the Sepon operation.

Reporting directly to the Vice General Manager – Maintenance, this Manager level role will be responsible for overseeing the feasibility study and execution phase of this critical mineral processing projects. Your experience and expertise will be pivotal in driving the delivery of a full copper processing circuit whilst ensuring all projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest technical standards. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including EPCM contractors, to ensure seamless project execution.

Key responsibilities include:

• Lead and manage the feasibility study for the primary copper circuit, ensuring thorough technical and financial evaluation.
• Oversee the design of crushing, milling, flotation and concentrate handling circuits, with particular emphasis on optimisation within a brownfields context.
• Determine the preferred project execution method and plan for each project package and engage with the appropriate resources to deliver on the plan.
• Manage the project execution, collaborating with all parties to deliver on cost and schedule and identify key risks and mitigation strategies.
• Support the completion phase of builds, ensuring that projects are finalized in line with scope and quality expectations.
• Manage all aspects of the commissioning plan, ensuring smooth integration of equipment and systems.
• Develop and manage project budgets, providing regular reporting on progress and financial performance.
• Act as the key technical interface between internal teams, contractors, and other stakeholders.
• Ensure safety, quality, and environmental standards are met at every stage of the project.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgy, Mineral Processing, or a related field. A post-graduate qualification would be an advantage.
• Proven experience in mineral processing, with hands-on expertise in designing crushing, milling, flotation and concentrate handling facilities.
• Strong project management experience, with a track record of successfully delivering large-scale mineral processing projects.
• Solid understanding of feasibility studies, project budgeting, and cost control.
• Experience working with EPCM contractors, ensuring effective collaboration and project execution.
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage cross-disciplinary teams and stakeholders.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail in both technical and financial aspects.
• Previous experience delivering projects in a multicultural environment will be highly regarded.
• Fluency in Chinese language would be highly desirable
