Chifeng Gold’s Lane Xang Minerals Limited (LXML) operates the Sepon Gold and Copper Operation, located in Vilabouly District, Savannakhet Province, Lao PDR. Since operations commenced in 2003, LXML Sepon has produced over 1.1 million tonnes of copper cathode and over 53 tonnes of gold. In 2022, Sepon produced 6,600 tonnes of copper and 6.7 tonnes of gold. In 2023, our planned production forecast is over 6 tonnes of gold and 7,000 tonnes of copper.

LXML is now positioning itself for future growth.  With the re-commencement of gold production at Sepon in 2020, and a number of other feasibility studies, a ramp up in exploration and merging and acquisition activity underway, the future for LXML and the Sepon operation is unlimited in potential and opportunity.

To support our operation, we are seeking a qualified candidate in the position of Operator - Underground Remote Loader.

Key responsibilities include:

• Tele remote material from production areas by setting up loader on remotes.
• Inspect production areas before, during and end of shift.
• Load trucks for the removal of broken material from the mine.
• Remove broken dirt stocks from active headings and leave headings in good condition for drilling.
• Dump dirt in stockpiles when and as required.
• Maintain roadways and loading bays, cleaning up spillage.
• Conduct heading clean ups as required.
• Assist with the installation of services, including ventilation.
• Record all shift data and complete daily inspection reports.
• Maintain a high level of housekeeping.
• Report all SSHE incidents.
• Demonstrate leadership in SSHE through personal behaviours and conversations.

Qualifications, skills and experience:

• Drivers License.
• Basic first aid (preferred).
• Minimum 5 years underground experience.
• Have been trained on RCT remotes.
• Previous experience as a loader operator with CAT 2900 Loaders.
• Good attitude and ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English, using the 2-way radio in a professional manner.
• Ability to do other duties when instructed and willing to follow Supervisor's Instruction.
