Chifeng Gold’s Lane Xang Minerals Limited Company (LXML) operates the Sepon Gold and Copper Operation, located in Vilabouly District, Savannakhet Province, Lao PDR. We are committed to the development of Laos through our production of cooper and gold, whilst striving for business excellence throughout the business. In 2025, our planned production is 5,703 kg of Gold and 10,010 tonnes of copper.

Reporting to the Senior Advisor – Environmental Monitoring, the Officer – Data Management is responsible for Sepon Project’s environmental objectives by managing and analysing environmental and spatial data, developing mapping tools, and maintaining a digital map library. They interpret data and reports for senior advisors and stakeholders, contributing to the Environmental Management System and Plans.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Analyse spatial data with QGIS, ArcGIS Pro, and ArcGIS Online.
• Design and produce digital maps and mapping applications.
• Develop mapping applications and tools.
• Convert drone imagery into geographic data.
• Clean and format data for analysis and reporting.
• Manage environmental databases with QA/QC processes.
• Prepare daily assay analyses, and regular reports.
• Prepare daily weather forcasts and upload to LXML SharePoint.
• Prepare weekly and monthly reports for the Senior Environmental Advisor.
• Maintain workplace safety and report incidents.

 Experience, Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor degree of Environmental Science, Geography, Surveying or Related Field.
• 2 years’ experience in mapping and data management.
• Proficiency with mapping software such as QGIS, ArcGIS Pro, and ArcGIS Online.
• Experience with database programs such as DataSight and Esdat.
• Proficiency with drone mapping software such as WebODM and Agisoft Metashape.
• Proficiency with handheld GPS measuring tools.
• Proficiency in using MS Word and Excel (including Excel macro tools)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Lao.
• A valid driver’s Licence at least (B).
