Chifeng Gold’s Lane Xang Minerals Limited Company (LXML) operates the Sepon Gold and Copper Operation, located in Vilabouly District, Savannakhet Province, Lao PDR. We are committed to the development of Laos through our production of cooper and gold, whilst striving for business excellence throughout the business. In 2025, our planned production is 5,703 kg of Gold and 10,010 tonnes of copper.

This role reports to the Superintendent – Contracts, the Officer - Contract  will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and managing contracts with suppliers and vendors on behalf of the organization. They ensure that the organization obtains the best value for money and quality of goods and services, while complying with relevant laws,regulations and internal LXML guidelines.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Researching and identifying potential suppliers that meet the organization’s needs and specifications.
• Preparing and issuing requests for proposals, quotations, bids, or tenders.
• Evaluating and comparing offers from different suppliers based on various criteria such as price, quality, delivery time, service, warranty, etc.
• Negotiating contract terms and conditions with selected suppliers, including payment terms, delivery schedule, performance standards, penalties, etc.
• Monitoring and managing the performance of suppliers and contractors, ensuring that they meet their contractual obligations and deliver the expected results.
• Resolving any issues or disputes that may arise during the contract lifecycle, such as delays, defects, and non-compliance.
• Maintaining and updating records of contracts, purchases, invoices, payments, etc.
• Implementing procurement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with organizational goals and legal requirements.
• Conducting market research and analysis to identify new opportunities for cost savings, quality improvement, innovation.

 Experience, Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Law, or a related field.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in contract management or a related field.
• Knowledge of procurement methods, principles, practices, and regulations.
• Must be proficient in English as a working language, with the ability to conduct effective and persuasive negotiations with suppliers and stakeholders. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with high attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other software applications related to procurement and contract management.
• Certification from a recognized supply or contacts management association or board would be highly desirable.
