Chifeng Gold’s Lane Xang Minerals Limited Company (LXML) operates the Sepon Gold and Copper Operation, located in Vilabouly District, Savannakhet Province, Lao PDR. Reporting to the Senior production geologists, the Mine Geologist manages the definition and efficient mining of the company’s mineral resources, and its controlled delivery to the mill. He/she ensures ore dilution is kept to a minimum whilst maximising on ore extraction, as well as the definition of waste material for ARD purposes and provides technical supervision and guidance in all facets of mining geology.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Expertise in Sepon’s geology and material classification systems for copper and gold.
• Design, plan, schedule, and execute drilling activities.
• Coordinate and supervise drilling contractors to ensure high-quality sampling and recovery.
• Lead technical team on sample preparation, core processing, analysis, QAQC, and
• Support mine planning through sectional mineralization interpretations.
• Provide technical supervision, analysis, and support to production geology and ore control.
• Oversee the management of ore ROM/stockpiles to ensure optimal blending and grade consistency,
• Attend production meetings where activities affect mining operations when required.
• Participate in and/or perform additional geological tasks as assigned.

Experience, Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Geology or related fields.
• Minimum 2 years in open-cut and/or underground mining operations.
• Proficiency in geological software packages, including Vulcan, Leapfrog, Ore Pro3D program.
• Proficiency in database software and tools, such as GeoBank SQL, or Microsoft Access.
• Good English communication skills, both written and oral.
• Valid Class B driver’s license with a clean, proven driving record.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
