Chifeng Gold’s Lane Xang Minerals Limited Company (LXML) operates the Sepon Gold and Copper Operation, located in Vilabouly District, Savannakhet Province, Lao PDR. We are committed to the development of Laos through our production of cooper and gold, whilst striving for business excellence throughout the business. In 2024, our planned production is 6,200 kg of Gold and 5,305 tonnes of Copper.

In support of this growth, we are looking for Mine Engineer - Production to join our team to deliver on our growth plans, and be a part of this exciting future.

This role reports directly to the Senior Engineer - Mine Planning, the successful incumbent will efficiently contribute to the creation of mine schedules and designs. Ensuring the long-term growth and viability of the mining operation by delivering comprehensive short – term and medium – term mine plans.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• To provide a short-term schedule (4 weeks to 3 months) for mine operations that ensures required tonnes, grades, and costs are achieved within the quarterly forecast while maintaining the blending strategy.
• Identify the opportunities and implementing new process to improve mine operational efficiency and productivity.

• Work closely with Environmental department to ensure that all mining activities comply with LXML Environment standards.
• Work cooperatively with multiple departments including mine operation centre, drill and blast team, geology, geo-tech, survey, civil, community and consultancy personal on a regular basis to ensure the mining activities are efficiency.
• Completed project work as required.

Qualifications, Experiences, and Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in mining engineering or related field.
• Good level of English communication.
• At least 2 years experiences as a planning and design engineer in mine operations (open pit).
• Knowledge of computer software: Vulcan, Deswik CAD and Deswik Schedules.
• Knowledge of pit operations and dump design.
