Chifeng Gold’s Lane Xang Minerals Limited Company (LXML) operates the Sepon Gold and Copper Operation, located in Vilabouly District, Savannakhet Province, Lao PDR. We are committed to the development of Laos through our production of cooper and gold, whilst striving for business excellence throughout the business. In 2025, our planned production is 5,703 kg of Gold and 10,010 tonnes of copper.

Reporting to the Senior Engineer, the Graduate Engineer position provides recent graduates with the opportunity to apply their academic knowledge in a practical, hands-on environment while developing professional skills and technical expertise in the mining and processing industry.  The Graduate Engineer will assist in engineering activities across site under the guidance of senior engineers in enabling plant and equipment to perform at budgeted availabilities, performance, and cost.  The Graduate Engineer will assist in the upkeep and full compliance with regulatory and statutory requirements of plant equipment, support the delivery and execution of signed & approved drawings, improvements, maintenance schedules and works that are in line with business requirements of the company. 

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Understand the functions of nominated equipment including - design specifications, drawings, equipment strategies, materials, safe operating  instructions.
• Be involvement with engineering systems and processes used on site including - document control, change management, master data and work management processes, operational readiness, engineering standards, operational and capital budget processes.
• Work with the condition monitoring teams to understand process and compliance.
• Assist with a range of engineering tasks which will allow you to develop your educational skills to practical application.
• Develop report writing skills to assist the department with monthly and quarterly reporting requirements.

Experience, Skills and Qualifications:

• Diploma or above in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a related technical field.
• Familiarity with mechanical / electrical engineering principles and plant maintenance concepts, gained through university coursework or internships.
• Ability to use standard mechanical / electrical tools and measuring instruments.
• Good communication skills in English, both in written and spoken.
• Valid Driver’s License.
