Chifeng Gold’s Lane Xang Minerals Limited Company (LXML) operates the Sepon Gold and Copper Operation, located in Vilabouly District, Savannakhet Province, Lao PDR. We are committed to the development of Laos through our production of cooper and gold, whilst striving for business excellence throughout the business. In 2025, our planned production is 5,703 kg of Gold and 10,010 tonnes of copper.

Reporting to the Superintendent – Mining Improvement, the Engineer – Mining Contracts is responsible for managing the Mining Department’s cost, which includes the cost control and management, including budgets, invoices and forecasts.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Control and monitor the Mining Department's total expenses, including verifying and checking invoices and claims from suppliers, vendors, and subcontractors.
• Provide planning and cost control support, including reporting on variations and monitoring progress.
• Forecast departmental costs as the business requires.
• Combine operational and cost data for analysis.
• Analyze, interpret, and report on mining costs.
• Produce costing statistics at regular intervals, evaluate trends, and recommend corrective actions.
• Integrate cost analysis with operational performance to produce combined reports and analysis.
• Identify opportunities to improve mining operations.
• Implement effective tools to measure and control costs.
• Evaluate business cases to identify potential areas for improvement.
• Develop authorizations for expenditure for the department’s capital spending.
• Perform other duties as required.

Experience, Skills and Qualifications:

• A tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering, Business or equivalent.
• Formal training in cost management is highly desirable.
• At least 3 years of experience in mining and 2 years in cost management.
• Previous supervisory experience is a plus.
• Excellent MS Office skills, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Skills in MS Power BI or similar data visualization tools are highly desirable.
• Excellent communication skills in both Lao and English.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to effectively prioritise tasks.
• Hold a valid driver’s license.
