Chifeng Gold’s Lane Xang Minerals Limited Company (LXML) operates the Sepon Gold and Copper Operation, located in Vilabouly District, Savannakhet Province, Lao PDR. We are committed to the development of Laos through our production of cooper and gold, whilst striving for business excellence throughout the business. In 2024, our planned production is 6,200 kg of Gold and 5,305 tonnes of copper.

In support of this growth, we are looking for Coordinator - Underground Mining to join our team to deliver on our growth plans, and be a part of this exciting future.

Reporting directly to the Superintendent – Underground, this role is responsible for being the key communication channel from Expat to national employees and local contractors to ensure they work safety and effectively in Underground operations

Key Responsibilities:

• Work with expat underground mining supervisor to ensure all discovery deep east (DDE) underground personnel have a safe working environment and promote safety culture across the team.
• Deliver the key messages from expat Underground mining supervisor and mine superintendent to national employees and contractors.
• Orgnaise and control any internal department personnel that work around or in the underground area.
• Assist safety team where required conducting induction and tours.
• Actively encourage and participate in a positive attitude towards safety and production.
• Ensure that all incidents and hazards are reported and investigated.
• Maximise achievement of targets with respects to safety and monthly production.
• Ensure and maintain compliance to weekly mine planning.
• Responsible for daily planning and co-ordination key relevant department and sectional to ensure shift activities are achieved as per plan.
• Daily conduct the workplace inspection to ensure all safety hazards raised and addressed.
• Ensure that facilities, heavy equipment are being used safely and for the appropriate work method.
• Work with maintenance team in organizing heavy equipment servicing is carried out.
• Be involved and communicate in safety message / management in pre-shift meetings.

 Experience, Skills and Qualifications:

• Good level of English.
• Computer literacy such Microsoft office or relevant software.
• Valid of Lao driving license (B) is required.
• Experience 2 years in supervision or leader role mainly in mining industry, drilling & blasting, civil earth work construction or similar, and/or in tunnel excavation will be advantage.
