Lane Xang Minerals Limited Company (LXML) has strengthened its support for the Lao Government’s mining management and oversight by donating a complete set of underground laser scanning equipment, valued at US$39,500, to the Department of Geology and Mines under the Ministry of Industry and Commerce.

The handover ceremony took place on 6 November 2025 at the Department of Geology and Mines, Ministry of Industry and Commerce, in Vientiane Capital. The equipment was officially presented on behalf of LXML by Mr. Saman Aneka, Managing Director, and honorably received by Mr. Khaophone Souklaphan, Deputy Director-General of the Department of Geology and Mines.

This modern laser scanning system will enhance the department’s capacity to inspect and analyze underground tunneling operations, ensuring accurate and reliable data collection aligned with scientific and engineering standards.

As a high-precision technology widely used in advanced mining operations, the scanner will contribute to improving the monitoring and assessment of underground mining activities, supporting safe, efficient, and sustainable mineral resource development in the Lao PDR.
