On May 8, 2025, Lane Xang Minerals Limited Company (LXML), in collaboration with Vilabouly District authorities, Na Xieng Lae Village officials, and local residents, held a ceremonial handover for the upgraded laterite road connecting Na Xieng Lae Village to Phra Pha Phen Cave. The approximately 3.3-kilometer-long and 9-meter-wide road was constructed through joint funding of 136,400,000Kip from LXML, complemented by contributions of 5,500,000 Kip from the abbot of Napho Temple and Na Xieng Lae villagers, totaling 141,900,000 Kip or US$ 6,577.83. The event was presided over by Mr. Valiya Sichanthongthip, Governor of Vilabouly District, and Mr. Saman Aneka, Managing Director of LXML. 

The development of the road to Phra Pha Phen Cave represents a significant achievement for LXML, which allocated funds from the Sepon Community Trust Fund (TF) to support local infrastructure improvements. This project enhances transportation convenience, facilitates access to production sites, promotes community interaction, and supports local commerce. Additionally, it contributes to the preservation and conservation of religious and cultural sites, fostering sustainable tourism in the area. 

The road rehabilitation reflects the collective effort and unity of the villagers, who actively participated in the construction process alongside local authorities, elders from the Lao Front for National Construction, monks, and novices. This collaborative effort exemplifies a strong sense of ownership and responsibility toward community development, arising from local awareness and initiative. Such projects align with LXML’s commitment to sustainable development by fostering community ownership from the outset. 

Since operations commenced in 2003, the Sepon Community Trust Fund has provided ongoing benefits to local communities in the project area for over two decades. Funding has increased annually from US$96,000 to US$750,000, totaling more than US$14 million, with commitments to sustain support until the final phase of mining operations concludes.
