Vilabouly District, Savannakhet Province — On February 24, 2026, Lane Xang Minerals Limited Company (LXML) held a handover ceremony for community development projects at Phrathat Nang Lao Temple in That Village, Vilabouly District.

The ceremony was attended by Venerable Yaeng Saengouthai, Standing Committee Member of the Provincial Lao Buddhist Fellowship Organization; Mr. Valiya Sichanthongthip, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee and Party Secretary of Kaysone Phomvihane City; Mr. Phouvanath Bounsiphom, Deputy District Party Secretary; and Mr. Saman Aneka, Managing Director of LXML, together with representatives from district authorities and local community members.

The projects include the construction of the Phra Khu Phon Samek Shrine, measuring 2.5 meters in width and length and 3.8 meters in height, as well as the restoration of the “Nam Sang Keo” (Sacred Well) at Phrathat Nang Lao Temple, with a total construction value of US$11,084.46. These initiatives aim to preserve and promote the cultural and religious heritage of the local community.

In addition, LXML handed over community infrastructure improvements, including the repair of a 3.5-kilometer road connecting the center of Na Xieng Lae Village to Phra Pha Paen Cave, and the construction of a submersible bridge in the village’s fish conservation zone, with a total value of 125,500,000 LAK. These improvements are intended to enhance local transportation while supporting environmental protection and sustainable resource management.
