Chifeng Gold Chairman, Wang Jianhua, accompanied by key executives, recently undertook a visit to the Sepon Mine operated by Lane Xang Minerals Limited Company in Laos. During the visit from May 9th to 10th, Mr. Wang Jianhua and his team engaged in strategic discussions, site inspections, and progress evaluations aimed at steering the mine towards continued success and efficiency.

On the first day of the visit, Mr. Wang Jianhua presided over a meeting where he was briefed on Sepon's production achievements and project progress report in 2024 as well as upcoming project plans. Various department heads shared updates on technical projects, resource exploration, and safety measures, highlighting the mine's commitment to operational excellence and growth.

On the second day of the visit was the Far West project area, where the team assessed land acquisition progress, mining plans, and resource outlook in the region. Mr. Wang Jianhua commended the progress made at Sepon Mine, especially noting advancements in production efficiency and key projects such as regrinding and resin leaching.

Mr. Wang Jianhua emphasized the importance of teamwork and cross-departmental collaboration in achieving Sepon Mine's objectives of cost reduction, efficiency enhancement, and resource expansion. He encouraged the leadership team to continue their momentum, leverage high market prices, and embrace digital technologies for increased operational efficiency.

In response, Mr. Gao Bo, representing the Sepon leadership team, expressed gratitude for Chairman Wang Jianhua's support and outlined their commitment to realizing the set goals for 2024. He highlighted the team's focus on innovation, operational excellence, and the concurrent progress of the Far West and Khanong underground copper mine projects.

Lane Xang Minerals Limited Company (LXML) completed the Latrine Project under the HIA Program 2024 on 23 April 2024. The event was attended by technical officers from LXML, representatives from the government, the district health office, the village authorities, and participating villagers.

The project includes 11 target villages, with a focus on delivering and handing over materials to 5 villages in the Far West Project area. The villages prioritized for the delivery of raw materials are Nathenhia, Nonsomphou, Mai, Nammeng, Napho, and Naxienglaer.

The total cost for providing materials to these villages amounts to 721,200,000 LAK or US$ 33,985.99. Each family in these villages will receive 11 items, at a total cost of 4,365,000 LAK. The materials to be provided to each family include 3 Concrete pipes size 100cm, 1 lid/ Cover of the concrete pipe, 200 blocks, 1 PVC pipe for air, 1 door frame, 1 door panel, 1 nail box, 1 red cement bag, 5 zinc roofs, 1 toilet seat, and 4 concrete poles.

The Latrine Project aims to improve sanitation and hygiene in the target villages, and LXML is committed to ensuring the successful implementation of this project for the benefit of the local communities.

Under the guidance of the Governor of Savannakhet Province, Lane Xang Minerals Limited Company (LXML) recently handed over three infrastructure development projects to Nampakhen Village, Vilabouly District, Savannakhet Province, a village surrounding the Sepon Mine project area. The handing-over ceremony was attended by Mr. Valiya Sichanthongthip, Mayor of Vilabouly District, and Mr. Saman Aneka, Managing Director of LXML Company, along with other local officials, village authorities, and community members.

These projects, funded by the 2024 Sepon Trust Fund, involved construction, repair, and design to improve public facilities and infrastructure in Nampakhen Village. The completed projects include:

1. Extension of the Nampakhen village office - valued at $3,107
2. Repair and improvement of Nampakhen Elementary School and surrounding facilities - valued at $27,908.90
3. Renovation of the National Heroic Museum in Nampakhen Village - valued at $47,132.36

The total value of the projects is $78,148.26 or 1,672,216,467.48 kip.

During the event, Mr. Valiya Sichanthongtip conveyed his appreciation to the company for its financial support and dedicated focus on enhancing the local infrastructure and living standards of the communities surrounding the project. He underscored the positive impact these developments would have in elevating the living conditions of the local populace and contributing significantly to the socio-economic advancement of the area. Additionally, he highlighted the company's efforts in promoting cultural preservation and tourism, which not only serves to conserve the region's rich heritage but also attracts visitors from across the region.

Similarly, Mr. Saman Aneka emphasized the fund's targeted approach towards fostering food production, education for the younger generation, and public health initiatives within the community. He stressed the importance of infrastructure development aligning with the three key priorities of food production, community health, and education, which encompass the construction of roads and the establishment of an accessible electricity grid in remote areas. The overarching vision of the local development fund is to facilitate the progress of the communities surrounding the Sepon gold-copper mine project through community labor contributions, underscoring the pivotal role of such contributions in ensuring sustainable development. Moreover, LXML is also committed to the Fund for Assistance to the Disadvantaged Groups (FADG), employing participatory development approaches to identify and support deserving individuals based on their needs and the company's deliberation.

Savannakhet Province, On March, April 2024 - Lane Xang Minerals Limited Company (LXML) handed over a profit tax of US$ 24 million for the year 2023 to Savannakhet Province at the Provincial Administration Office. The profit tax was presented by Mr. Saman Aneka, Managing Director of LXML, and his delegation, and was honorably received by Mr. Bounchome Ubonpraseuth, Governor of Savannakhet Province, along with the Department of Tax and Provincial Affairs.

Mr. Saman Aneka expressed his gratitude to the Governor and the Provincial Tax Department for their support of the Sepon mine project and for facilitating the payment of the profit tax for the year 2023.

He also highlighted the company's challenges in 2024, including high production costs due to low ore quality and the need to build additional roads to access the ore for the upcoming Far West project. This project will require an investment budget of tens of millions of US dollars in 2024. Mr. Aneka noted the company's pride in being approved to pay royalty tax along with profit tax to Savannakhet Province annually and expressed gratitude to the governor for supporting the Community Trust Fund for the district, in line with the Environmental and Social Impact Assessment obligations of the project.

In response, the Governor expressed his appreciation to the Board of Directors of LXML for their continued contributions to the province and their support of the Visit Lao Year in Savannakhet Province. He noted that contributions from various companies, including LXML, have led to the improvement and development of the national socio-economic.

The royalty and profit tax contribution from LXML for the year 2023 is seen as a positive development for the future of Savannakhet Province. The Governor expressed his satisfaction in supporting LXML and extended an invitation to the company's chairman to visit the province.
